Thing is, to hover a level above ground you need to skip one level. You can also do it with your half-built single floor house. You might like our Tutorial: hillside lot with hovering building as an inspiration.
Yes you can do this for certain using a foundation. Thanks hugely if you can help with any of this. On a similar note, can anybody think of any other way I would be able to incorporate a glass floor with a pond/water underneath, without a foundation? Also, can anyone come up with any other interesting architectural features I should include? I'm already putting in skylights and internal courtyards. Would I be able to somehow slope the ground to build a floor surface over a pond/pool? I think I could do this with a foundation, just by making a balcony-style platform, but I would be making alterations to an already half-built single-floor house which is not on a foundation, it is on flat terrain.
